flash floods devastate baluchistan – three women and child killed.

 Torrential rains have caused flash floods in eastern districts of Jhal Magsi, Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Turbat and Khuzdar of Baluchistan province.

Three women were killed when a vehicle was swept away by flood water at Gogdan river in Turbat. Two other people were missing and a search was underway to recover them.

An eight-year child was killed when a wall of a house collapsed in Khuzdar.

Over two dozens of villages have come underwater at Jhal Magsi which has been cut off from Quetta, Shahdadkot, Osta Mohammad and Jacobabad. Due to the cut off, the rescue and relief work has not yet properly begin. Many roads are underwater and flooding is evident in canals and rivers.

The weather is hampering rescue and relief efforts.

The torrent rains have damaged many of mud houses in Khuzdar and on its outskirts.
