Seven people killed in violence on Saturday (January 4) while the protesters took to the streets against the killings in Pakistan biggest city Karachi.

Unknown armed men opened fire on Rashid Minhas Road early morning and killed two brothers.

According to initial reports, the two brothers, were the students of a seminary, and were related to Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat.

After the killings on Rashid Minhas Road near Centrum Mall, tension gripped the adjoining areas while the traffic was also suspended on the main roads leading to Nipa and Gulshan Chowrangi.

Protesters demonstrated against the violent incidents and blocked the road by setting tyres on fire.

Seven people were killed overnight while five others were injured in different firing incidents across the city.

Reports from Rangers said, a political party is involved in the killings and the evidences have been collected and the culprits would be arrested soon.

Earlier on Saturday night, five people were killed and five others sustained bullet wounds after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a juice shop near Maskan Chowrangi.
