At least two people were killed and three others were injured in a bomb blast on Monday (January 20) in Pakistan’s Northwest district of DI Khan.
According to police, a roadside remote controlled explosion occurred in the Loni area of Dera Ismail Khan's Kolachi .
Injured were being shifted to Dera Ismail Khan District Headquarters for medical treatment but succumbed to their injuries on the way.
Following the explosion, a tip-off was received regarding more bombs in the area.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team personnel reached the site of explosion and defused four bombs.
Bomb Disposal Squad in-charge Inayatullah was injured when an IED exploded while he was defusing it.
Security personnel cordoned off the area and a probe into the incident was underway.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Police cordoned off the area and started investigations. According to police, some two kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.
