A new Intestine Cancer Ward comprising 50-beds was opened on Monday (February 17) in Civil Hospital in Pakistani biggest city Karachi.
A renown humanitarian and social worker inaugurated the ward.
Social worker Bilqees Eidhi inspected the whole ward while doctors in wards kept her apprised of the facilities for the patients.
Humanitarian and social worker Bilqees Eidhi said she will continue her mission to serve humanity.
Provincial Secretary Health Iqbal Durani said government is taking steps to provide modern medical facilities in Civil Hospital Karachi including all government hospitals of Sindh to enforce timely treatment for patients.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Mujtaba Memon while talking to journalists said, Civil Hospital Karachi is the only hospital in Sindh equipped with all modern amenities.
He said free treatment would be provided to patients of intestinal cancer and soon stomach clinic would be open to the general public.
