Pakistan Government Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices by Rs5 Per Litre
Under the new rates, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs5 per litre, bringing it down to Rs409.58 per litre. Similarly, petrol prices have also been decreased by Rs5 per litre, lowering the new petrol price from Rs414.78 to Rs409.78 per litre.
The latest reduction comes after the government increased fuel prices significantly last week. Earlier, petrol prices were raised to Rs414.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel reached Rs414.58 per litre.
It is worth mentioning that on April 29, the government had also increased petroleum prices, raising diesel by Rs19.39 per litre and petrol by Rs6.51 per litre.
The recent cut in fuel prices is expected to provide slight relief to the public already burdened by inflation and rising transportation costs.
