Pakistan Army MI-17 Helicopter Crashes Near Muzaffarabad, All Personnel Martyred
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the helicopter encountered a technical fault shortly after initiating flight operations and subsequently crashed. No survivors were reported in the tragic incident.
Rescue and emergency teams rushed to the crash site immediately after the accident and launched relief and recovery operations. Authorities confirmed that efforts are underway to secure the area and recover all necessary evidence.
The ISPR stated that a high-level investigation board has been constituted to determine the exact cause of the crash and assess the nature of the technical failure that led to the accident.
The Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Defence Staff, and officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces expressed profound grief over the loss of precious lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic helicopter crash. Paying tribute to the martyred personnel, the Prime Minister said that the entire nation salutes the sacrifices of its brave sons and stands united with the bereaved families during this difficult time.
