Nation Mourns as Muzaffarabad Helicopter Crash Martyrs Laid to Rest with Full State Honors
Funeral prayers for those martyred in the tragic helicopter crash in Muzaffarabad were offered with full state honors at the High Court Ground in Chhattar, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
A large number of people, including state leaders, senior military and civil officials, and members of the public, attended the ceremony to pay tribute to the martyrs. The coffins, draped in Pakistan’s national flag, were brought to the funeral ground amid an atmosphere of profound sorrow and mourning.
Heart-rending scenes were witnessed during the funeral prayers as grief-stricken participants struggled to hold back tears. The solemn ceremony reflected the nation’s respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of the deceased.
Among those present were Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Prime Minister Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, senior military officials, Most Senior Minister Mian Abdul Waheed, cabinet members, Chief Secretary Khushhal Khan, Inspector General of Police Liaqat Ali Malik, and representatives from various walks of life.
Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, forgiveness, and patience for the bereaved families. Participants paid rich tribute to the martyrs, describing their sacrifices as a valuable asset for the nation and a symbol of unwavering devotion to the country.
