Blast Near Pakistan Embassy in Tehran; Ambassador and Staff Safe
Sources indicated that an Iranian military facility, associated with Islamic Republic of Iran Army, is located directly across from the Pakistan Embassy and may have been the primary target of the attack.
Despite the intensity of the blasts, all Pakistani diplomatic staff, including Ambassador Mudassir Tipu, remained safe. The ambassador resides in an area reportedly managed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, where bombardment was also reported.
Fortunately, neither the embassy nor the ambassador’s residence sustained any damage. Diplomatic sources confirmed that Ambassador Tipu, along with a staff of approximately 20 members, continues to perform routine duties.
A senior diplomat stated that while the explosions were extremely intense and caused concern among the staff, all personnel are unharmed. Despite the tense situation, Pakistani diplomatic officials are closely monitoring developments and continuing their responsibilities.
