Pakistan peace plan US Iran
According to international media reports, the proposed framework has been formally delivered to both Tehran and Washington, D.C.. The plan includes an immediate ceasefire, followed by negotiations toward a broader and more permanent agreement.
Under the proposal, the Strait of Hormuz—a critical global oil route—could be fully reopened shortly after a ceasefire is implemented, easing global economic concerns.
Sources indicate that Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army Chief, has been in continuous contact with key international figures, including U.S. Vice President JD Vance, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The framework reportedly outlines a 45-day ceasefire, after which final negotiations are expected to take place in Islamabad. The potential agreement could include Iran’s commitment not to develop nuclear weapons in exchange for sanctions relief and the restoration of frozen assets.
