Trump Signals Possible Pakistan Visit
Speaking to the media, Trump revealed that talks with Iran are progressing positively, with a possible high-level meeting expected over the weekend. He warned, however, that failure to reach a deal could lead to renewed conflict.
Trump stated that Iran has agreed not to develop or possess nuclear weapons, adding that discussions include handing over nuclear materials as part of a broader peace agreement. He also claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have significantly weakened.
The president emphasized that there is currently no need to extend the ceasefire, as both sides appear willing to maintain calm.
Trump also praised Shehbaz Sharif and Syed Asim Munir for their role in facilitating diplomatic efforts, calling them “great individuals.”
He further revealed that he had productive phone conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanon’s president, both of whom have agreed to the ceasefire.
Trump added that if a deal with Iran is finalized, he may visit Pakistan to sign the agreement, highlighting Pakistan’s growing role in regional diplomacy.
