Islamabad on High Alert
Authorities have significantly tightened security across the federal capital, particularly in sensitive areas and outside the Red Zone. Personnel from police, Rangers, and Frontier Corps (FC) have been deployed to ensure safety.
Entry of unauthorized individuals into the Red Zone has been completely restricted, while additional checkpoints have been set up across major roads. Strict action is also being taken against vehicles with tinted windows.
To reinforce security, more than 2,500 personnel from Punjab Police have arrived in Islamabad.
In addition, vehicles entering the city are being thoroughly checked, while citywide cleanliness and beautification efforts—including road cleaning and painting of footpaths—are also underway.
The heightened measures reflect the importance of the expected diplomatic engagement, with Islamabad emerging as a key venue for international negotiations.
