Power Outages Intensify Across Pakistan
In Karachi, scheduled load shedding has exceeded 12 hours in several areas, while even previously exempt localities are now experiencing prolonged electricity cuts.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, outages have reached up to 16 hours per day, causing significant inconvenience to residents. In Quetta, citizens are facing 4 to 6 hours of load shedding, while other districts in Balochistan are experiencing routine outages lasting 8 to 10 hours.
Sources from Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) reported that there is currently no unannounced load shedding in Lahore, with the power shortfall reduced to around 100 megawatts.
However, rural areas and smaller towns in Punjab are still facing 2 to 3 hours of electricity outages.
The worsening power crisis has raised concerns among citizens and business communities, as prolonged outages continue to disrupt daily life across the country.
