Massive Fire Erupts in Lahore Commercial Plaza
Rescue spokesperson Farooq Ahmad confirmed that the fire has been fully extinguished, and cooling operations are currently underway to prevent any re-ignition.
The fire reportedly started on the 12th floor of the building late at night. Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 dispatched 12 fire and rescue vehicles along with more than 60 rescuers to the scene. Specialized snorkel equipment was also used to combat the flames at height.
Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Secretary of the Emergency Services Department, personally visited the site to monitor the operation. Teams from multiple sectors, including a special unit from the Rescue Academy, participated in the firefighting effort under the supervision of senior fire and emergency officials.
Authorities confirmed that, fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
