Iran Initiates Contact with Pakistan’s Leadership
According to reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate telephonic conversations with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.
Discussions focused on the evolving regional situation and potential pathways toward a ceasefire. Iranian sources indicated that both sides exchanged views on reducing tensions and restoring stability in the region.
Pakistan has been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to mediate between Iran and the United States. Senior leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has maintained ongoing communication with multiple countries to support ceasefire initiatives and promote peace.
These developments suggest that Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach may be gaining traction as regional stakeholders explore options for de-escalation.
