Iranian FM Arrives in Islamabad to Boost Regional Diplomacy
According to a statement shared by Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, the Iranian delegation led by Araghchi was received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with senior officials.
The visit comes at a crucial time when Pakistan is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to ease rising tensions in the region and facilitate dialogue between key stakeholders. During his stay, Araghchi is expected to hold high-level meetings with Pakistan’s leadership to discuss recent regional developments and ongoing initiatives aimed at ensuring peace and stability.
Prior to his departure, Araghchi stated on social media that his visits to Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow are intended to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance coordination with partner countries, and exchange views on evolving regional dynamics.
He emphasized that neighboring countries remain a top priority for Iran, highlighting Tehran’s commitment to fostering cooperation, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement across the region.
