div style="text-align: left;">5.7 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
According to seismic monitoring authorities, the earthquake had a depth of 170 kilometers, with its epicenter located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Tremors lasted approximately 15 to 20 seconds, causing people to rush out of homes, offices, and commercial buildings in fear.
The quake was strongly felt in multiple areas, including Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Malakand, and the Hazara region, as well as parts of Sahiwal and nearby localities.
Due to the relatively long duration of the tremors, residents in high-rise buildings evacuated quickly, reciting prayers as they moved to open spaces. Despite the intensity and widespread reach of the quake, initial reports indicate no major loss of life or property.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, while citizens have been advised to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines in case of aftershocks.
