US helicopter crashes in Afghanistan kill 2 US troops
US forces confirmed the helicopter's destruction, saying that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, but initially there was no evidence that the helicopter was destroyed by the enemy.
On the other hand, the Afghan Taliban claimed responsibility for destroying the helicopter, saying that the helicopter was destroyed in Logar province of Afghanistan.
Mujahid said in a statement on social media that the US Chinook helicopter was destroyed in Pangram area of Logar.
A statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Defense said that there was initially no evidence that the helicopter was destroyed by the Taliban, nor that any Afghan official was injured in the helicopter crash.
