Amnesty International calls on government to take immediate action

Amnesty International calls on the Pakistani government to take immediate action to tackle smog in Lahore
. The World Organization said that inadequate government measures to control smog are risky, which threatens every citizen of Lahore.
According to Amnesty International, the matter is so significant that we are urging members of the world to ask Pakistani authorities to acknowledge the nature of the crisis and take immediate steps to protect the health and lives of the people.
Smog situation in Lahore and surrounding areas once again worsened, due to smog, schools will remain closed in Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad.
The air quality index in Lahore has risen to 375. As a result of the increase in smog intensity, routine life has been affected. Citizens are experiencing severe anxiety due to smog and people have severe difficulty breathing.
The Meteorological Department says that the maximum range in most areas of Lahore is limited to 800 meters, while smoke is spreading in the Indian area, not smog in Lahore, but the intensity of smog may decrease only with the rains. It has announced the closure of all public and private schools in Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad.
