A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee was held in Parliament House Islamabad, in which the appointment of a new chairman came into effect. The committee unanimously elected Rana Tanveer of the PML-N.
Rana Tanveer's name was suggested by Sardar Nasrullah Darashik, while Mushahid Hussain endorsed it.
After being elected chairman, Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed his commitment to take everyone together and said that PAC will be made active. Schedule and run audit objects in a timely manner.
It should be noted that after the insistence and protests of the opposition, PML-N president and leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif was elected chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, but he resigned a few months ago.
