14 Killed as Mini Truck Plunges into Canal Amid Dense Fog in Sargodha
According to Rescue officials, the incident occurred near Ghala Pur Bangla in Kot Momin Tehsil, where 23 passengers were traveling in a mini truck. Due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog, the driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the road, plunging into a dry canal.
Seven people were killed on the spot after being trapped beneath the truck. Rescue teams shifted the deceased and critically injured victims to the THQ Hospital, where seven more passengers succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The deceased include six children, five women, and three men. The victims were reportedly traveling to attend a funeral.
