Rain and Heavy Snowfall Paralyze Life Across KPK
In Peshawar city and its surrounding areas, rain that began last evening had stopped briefly in the morning but resumed after a short interval, further intensifying the cold. Intermittent rain has also continued across the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since last night, while the third spell of winter snowfall is underway in the mountainous regions.
In Chitral city and surrounding areas, light snowfall has resumed, marking the second phase following snowfall four days ago. Continuous snowfall has been reported since last night in the Lowari Tunnel area, Kalash valleys, Madaklasht, and Garam Chashma, while Shandur, Laspur, and Yarkhun in Upper Chitral are also experiencing snowfall.
Despite snowfall, traffic on the Lowari Tunnel Road remains operational due to ongoing snow clearance efforts. The local administration has advised motorists to use snow chains while traveling through the Lowari Tunnel area.
