In this regard, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held an important meeting with the Canadian High Commissioner Tariq Ali Khan, where both sides discussed expanding collaboration in trade, investment, minerals, agriculture, and energy sectors.
Discussions also included Pakistan’s participation in the world’s largest mining conference, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026. The conference is expected to showcase Pakistan’s vast mineral potential to global investors and facilitate direct engagement between Pakistani mining companies and Canadian experts.
Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in the dairy and livestock sectors, focusing on modern farming techniques, advanced genetics, and disease control to improve productivity and quality standards.
Canadian investment in renewable energy projects in Pakistan was highlighted as a priority, with emphasis placed on timely project approvals and the establishment of transparent and consistent regulatory frameworks.
