Sit-in by PTI Founder’s Sisters on Adiala Road Called Off
The protest was being held at the Marble Factory check post, where Aleema Khan, Dr Uzma Khan, and Noreen Niazi were present. Sources said that only 10 to 15 individuals participated in the sit-in, while no senior leader of PTI’s central leadership was present at the site.
Despite the protest, traffic on Adiala Road continued to flow normally, and no major disruption was reported. A heavy police contingent remained deployed at the location throughout the protest to maintain law and order.
Later, Hussain Akhunzada, spokesperson for the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan, along with Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, arrived at the sit-in. According to sources, both leaders carried a special message from Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
Following discussions between Aleema Khan, Hussain Akhunzada, and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, Aleema Khan agreed to end the sit-in. Subsequently, the protest was formally concluded.
Sources further stated that Aleema Khan’s vehicle was called to the site, and she later departed from Adiala Road along with a few party workers after the sit-in ended.
