Security Forces Eliminate 24 Terrorists
ISPR stated that on February 4 and 5, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in District Orakzai following reports of the presence of Khawarij terrorists. During the operation, security forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, 14 terrorists were neutralized.
In a separate intelligence-based operation carried out in District Khyber, security forces engaged the terrorists in a firefight, resulting in the elimination of an additional 10 Khawarij.
ISPR added that clearance and search operations are currently underway in the areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists.
According to the military’s media wing, security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to continuing their counter-terrorism campaign until the complete eradication of terrorism, in line with the National Action Plan and the vision of the federally approved Apex Committee strategy, “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successful operations against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He commended their professionalism and reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure lasting peace and stability in the country.
