Famous Indian Actor Arrested, Authorities Confirm
Rajpal Yadav, widely known for his iconic comic roles in the Indian film industry, voluntarily presented himself before Tihar Jail authorities on Thursday following the court’s decision. The High Court declined his request to extend the deadline for appearing before jail officials, leaving the actor with no legal relief.
Over the years, Rajpal Yadav has earned immense popularity for his lively performances in several blockbuster films. His notable works include Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama, Dhol, Chhup Chhup Ke, Phir Hera Pheri, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and many other successful movies, making him one of Bollywood’s most recognizable comic actors.
It is worth recalling that in April 2018, an Indian court sentenced Rajpal Yadav to six months in prison along with a hefty fine after he failed to repay a loan within the stipulated time, leading to cheque dishonour cases against him.
