Islamabad Explosion, 31 martyrs, 169 injured
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after the blast, while Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) declared an emergency across the federal capital. Multiple injured individuals were reported to be present at the site of the incident.
Emergency measures were also imposed at major hospitals in Islamabad, including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Polyclinic Hospital, and CDA Hospital. The injured are being shifted to PIMS and Polyclinic for medical treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that main emergency wards, orthopaedic units, burn centers, and neurology departments have been fully activated to handle the situation.
Security forces have cordoned off the area, and further investigations are underway. Authorities have not yet confirmed the nature or cause of the blast.
