Thunderstorm and Rain Forecast for Karachi
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is currently affecting the western parts of the country. Under its impact, Karachi is expected to receive thunderstorms and rainfall on February 17. Dusty winds stronger than usual are also likely to accompany the rain.
The Met Office further stated that fog may reduce visibility in Karachi on the following day, potentially affecting daily commute and traffic flow.
Besides Karachi, several other cities in Sindh are also expected to receive rain with thunderstorms between the evening of February 16 and 17. These include Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Khairpur.
Meanwhile, cold nights and generally dry weather conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the province.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures, especially due to possible strong winds and reduced visibility.
