14 Terrorists Killed, Weapons Seized
According to a spokesperson for the CTD, the operation was conducted in Darakhshan where security forces engaged in a gun battle with suspected terrorists. As a result of the heavy exchange of fire, eight militants were killed, while three CTD personnel sustained injuries.
Authorities stated that a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the slain militants. Initial reports suggest that the killed suspects were affiliated with a banned organization, though further investigations are currently underway to determine the exact group and network connections.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Counter Terrorism Department Balochistan for the successful operation against militants described as “Fitna al-Khawarij.” He commended the professionalism and bravery of CTD personnel for foiling the terrorists’ nefarious plans and contributing to peace efforts in Balochistan.
Naqvi also extended his prayers and best wishes for the speedy recovery of the three injured officers, reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the province.
Security has been heightened in and around Quetta following the operation, and further details are expected as investigations continue.
