Five Terrorist, Including Suicide Bomber, Killed
The ISPR said the operation was launched after receiving credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants linked to what it described as an Indian-sponsored proxy group, referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij.” During the exchange of fire, four militants were killed, while a fifth — identified as a suicide bomber — detonated himself.
Security forces reportedly recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials from the militants’ possession. According to the military’s media wing, the slain individuals were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area.
A clearance operation remains underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the vicinity.
The ISPR added that security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing nationwide counterterrorism efforts under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, reaffirming their commitment to eliminating militancy and ensuring stability.
