IMRAN KHAN HOSPITALIZED
The incarcerated leader, currently held at Adiala Jail, was transferred to PIMS on February 24, 2026, for a scheduled follow-up medical examination and administration of the second injection for his eye condition.
Prior to the procedure, a board of medical specialists conducted a comprehensive evaluation. A consultant cardiologist performed echocardiography and an ECG, both of which returned normal results. A consultant physician also assessed him and declared him medically stable.
After obtaining formal consent, doctors administered the anti-VEGF injection under strict safety protocols and continuous monitoring in the operating theatre. The procedure was carried out under microscopic guidance by a consultant ophthalmologist and was declared successful.
Following the treatment, Imran Khan was kept under medical observation. Sources confirm that his condition is satisfactory and stable.
