Indian Statement After Balochistan Incident Validates Pakistan’s Stance
During the weekly press briefing, the spokesperson said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Qatar from February 23 to 24 at the invitation of the Amir of Qatar. He noted that the Amir expressed a desire to elevate economic partnership with Pakistan to a higher level. The Prime Minister also held meetings with Qatar’s Minister of Defense and Minister of State during the visit.
The spokesperson further informed that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is currently visiting Saudi Arabia, where he will participate in the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) being held in Jeddah on February 26.
The emergency OIC meeting will deliberate on recent decisions by Israeli occupying authorities, including measures related to the occupied West Bank. The spokesperson stated that Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s position regarding Israeli actions aimed at declaring the occupied West Bank as so-called state land. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of OIC member states.
