PAA Dismisses Reports of Partial Airspace Closure
In a clarification regarding NOTAM A0134/26, the authority explained that it is a routine operational advisory concerning the temporary unavailability of specific ATS route segments within the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions (FIRs) during scheduled hours from March 3 to March 31, 2026.
The PAA emphasized that Pakistan’s airspace remains fully open, safe, and operational for all commercial flights, including arrivals, departures, and overflights. Air traffic services are functioning normally, with alternative routing options available where required.
Reaffirming its commitment to safety and transparency, the authority urged media outlets and social media users to rely on official statements to avoid unnecessary concern among passengers.
