Two Young Men Drown in Canal Near Mai Gari Shrine in Karachi
According to rescue officials, authorities received information that two youths had drowned in a canal near the shrine. Following the report, a rescue team from the Edhi Foundation Marine Services immediately launched a search operation.
During the operation, rescuers recovered the bodies of both victims from the canal. The bodies were later shifted to a nearby police station through an ambulance service.
One of the deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Jameel, son of Muhammad Ali, while the identity of the second victim, believed to be around 20 years old, has not yet been confirmed.
Officials stated that the exact cause of the drowning has not yet been determined. Police have begun an investigation to establish the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
The incident occurred near the Mai Gari Shrine in the Manghopir area.
