Car Sales Surge in Pakistan Despite Inflation
During February 2026, 17,121 vehicles were sold across the country. In comparison, only 12,084 vehicles were sold in the same period last year, indicating strong demand in the local auto market.
In the first eight months of the current fiscal year, total car sales reached 128,489 units, reflecting an increase of 43.2% compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
The two- and three-wheeler segment also witnessed strong activity. In February alone, 157,543 motorcycles and three-wheelers were produced, while 159,512 units were sold, highlighting steady consumer demand despite ongoing economic challenges.
Industry experts believe the growth is driven by improved financing options, delayed purchase decisions from previous months, and gradual stabilization in supply chains.
