Pakistan Express Train Derails Near Mehrabpur, Railway Traffic Disrupted
According to officials from Pakistan Railways, the locomotive of the train went off the track close to Mehrabpur Railway Station. Soon after the incident, railway authorities dispatched a relief train from Rohri to assist with rescue and recovery operations.
Railway officials and emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Initial reports indicate that no major casualties or significant damage have been reported so far, though train services in the area have been temporarily affected.
This marks the second railway accident reported in Naushahro Feroze District on the same day. Earlier in the afternoon, a collision occurred at Lakha Road Railway Station between the Shalimar Express and a freight train. The crash resulted in the death of one railway employee and left eight people injured.
Authorities are currently investigating the causes of both incidents while efforts continue to restore railway traffic in the region.
