Pakistan stability measures
During the meeting, the prime minister emphasized that the government of Pakistan is closely monitoring the evolving global situation and consulting on further steps to ease financial pressure on citizens. He said timely government decisions have ensured adequate availability of petroleum products across the country, allowing uninterrupted fuel supply.
Sharif stated that economic stability and public relief remain the government’s top priorities. He added that current measures are designed not only to provide immediate relief but also to support long-term economic stability.
The prime minister noted that national austerity and savings measures have already been initiated. He also directed that these steps be monitored through a third-party audit to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
He instructed petroleum distribution companies to ensure the sale of fuel strictly at government-approved prices and maintain transparency in the supply chain.
