Dharandhar 2 Shatters Box Office Records
Starring Ranveer Singh, the film reportedly crossed ₹100 crore in India on its opening day, despite releasing on a regular working day. When combined with approximately ₹43 crore from paid previews, the total opening collection has exceeded ₹146 crore, making it the biggest opening in Hindi cinema history.
The film has surpassed the previous record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan, which had an opening day collection of ₹64 crore.
“Dharandhar 2” has performed exceptionally well across major cities, particularly in Bengaluru, where it earned nearly ₹15 crore on day one. Despite having a runtime of nearly four hours, the film is being screened in over 21,000 shows nationwide, with special screenings arranged in many cinemas.
Even with increased ticket prices, audience turnout remains strong, highlighting the film’s massive popularity. This record-breaking opening has further strengthened Ranveer Singh’s position at the box office.
With the upcoming Eid holiday expected to boost collections further, industry experts predict the film could reach ₹375 crore in total earnings.
