Pakistan Celebrates 86th Pakistan Day
The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital, Islamabad, and 21-gun salutes in all provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered in mosques nationwide for the country’s integrity, prosperity, and development.
During the gun salute ceremonies, soldiers of the Pakistan Army raised slogans of “Allahu Akbar” and “Pakistan Zindabad,” creating a patriotic atmosphere filled with energy and unity.
This year, Pakistan Day is being observed with simplicity due to ongoing economic austerity measures and the tense situation in the Middle East. The traditional Pakistan Day parade has been canceled, and the central flag-hoisting ceremony was held in a modest yet dignified manner.
A prestigious guard-changing ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal, where a well-disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Air Force presented an impressive march-past. During the ceremony, the Pakistan Air Force formally took over security duties of the mausoleum, previously managed by the Sutlej Rangers.
The ceremony highlighted the significance of Pakistan Day and further strengthened the spirit of patriotism among citizens.
