Lift-and-Robbery Suspect Arrested in Rawalpindi
According to police officials, the accused would lure victims into his vehicle under the pretense of giving them a lift and then rob them of valuables. During the operation, authorities recovered five tola gold jewelry worth approximately Rs 2.5 million, cash amounting to Rs 461,330, and weapons used in the crimes. The car used in the incidents has also been seized.
Investigations revealed that the suspect had recently snatched gold jewelry and cash from a woman, while in another incident, he robbed a man of cash.
Police stated that the suspect was traced and arrested using technical and human intelligence methods. Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan confirmed that the accused will be presented in court with solid evidence.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious when accepting rides from strangers and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
