Passenger Bus Plunges into River in Bangladesh, 24 Killed
Rescue officials confirmed that divers have recovered 22 bodies from inside the submerged bus, including 6 men, 11 women, and 5 children. Two women were initially rescued alive but later succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to 24.
The rescue operation is ongoing, with four fire service units and 10 divers actively involved. Teams from the army, police, coast guard, and local administration are also assisting in relief efforts.
Authorities fear that more passengers may still be missing as the search operation continues.
It is important to note that Bangladesh frequently witnesses deadly road and ferry accidents each year, resulting in hundreds of fatalities.
