Bride Arrested for Aerial Firing at Wedding in Rawalpindi, Groom on the Run
According to police, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Mandrah Police Station in the Gohra area. The bride, identified as Sana, allegedly opened fire into the air during the wedding festivities.
Police officials stated that upon receiving information about the aerial firing, a team rushed to the scene. However, both the bride and groom fled upon seeing the police. After a brief chase, authorities successfully apprehended the bride, while the groom, identified as Shehryar, managed to escape.
An FIR has been registered on the complaint of ASI Waseem Akhtar. Police confirmed that a 30-bore pistol was recovered from the arrested bride. Efforts are currently underway to locate and arrest the groom.
Authorities have reiterated that aerial firing is a serious offense and strict legal action will be taken against those involved.
