PIA Flight PK-785 Lands at Heathrow
The arrival ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, who greeted the flight upon landing. The airport was decorated with the national flags of Pakistan and United Kingdom, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.
A simple yet dignified ceremony was held at the airport, where a celebratory cake was cut to mark the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mohammad Faisal described the flight as a significant milestone, stating that PIA represents the voice and emotions of overseas Pakistanis and should continue to expand its operations.
A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport highlighted the long-standing relationship with PIA, noting that their partnership spans over seven decades. “We warmly welcome PIA back—today, an old friend has returned,” the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, preparations have been finalized for another major development, as Pakistan International Airlines is set to resume flights from Lahore to London after a gap of six years. The flight is scheduled to depart at 12:50 PM today, with a brief ceremony planned at the airport before departure.
