Food Authority Team Held Hostage
According to police officials, the incident took place in a village identified as 67-D, where individuals involved in producing fake milk assaulted the raiding team. Armed suspects reportedly held both male and female staff hostage at gunpoint and subjected them to severe violence.
Authorities stated that female officers were particularly targeted and faced brutal assault during the attack. The suspects also interfered with the official operation using weapons.
District Police Officer Javed Chaddhar has taken notice of the incident and ordered strict action against those involved.
A spokesperson revealed that the Punjab Food Authority team had recovered approximately 1,000 liters of fake milk from a collection center during the raid.
During the attack, the suspects allegedly robbed the government staff of cash and mobile phones before fleeing the scene.
