Donald Trump Claims US Will Exit Iran War in Weeks
According to Trump, the main goal of the military operation was to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and he stated that this objective has been successfully achieved. He added that a deal could potentially be reached even sooner than the announced timeline.
Trump emphasized that negotiations with Iran are not necessary, asserting that the United States has the capability to end the war on its own terms. He said Washington possesses multiple options to halt military operations even without a formal agreement.
The US President further claimed that Iran would not be able to develop nuclear weapons for at least the next four to five years. He warned that if Iran eventually regains that capability, a future US president “like him” would take decisive action and could “destroy Iran,” stressing that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons.
Trump also stated that Iran would take 15 to 20 years to rebuild, alleging that the country currently lacks a functioning navy, army, air force, and effective leadership.
