Elderly Woman Climbs Down from 27th Floor
According to reports, the elderly resident was seen outside her 27th-floor apartment on April 1, gripping air-conditioner railings as she carefully made her way down. A cleaner and a security guard heard her calls for help and were shocked to see her descending along the building’s outer structure.
They immediately alerted authorities and urged her to stop, but the woman continued her dangerous descent. After becoming exhausted, she halted on the 21st floor—approximately 50 meters above the ground.
Firefighters quickly responded to the scene and launched a rescue operation from inside the building. They secured the woman with a safety rope from a 21st-floor apartment and cut part of the railing to create a small platform, allowing her to sit safely. Rescuers also provided her with a jacket and water before bringing her to safety.
Reports revealed that the woman lives alone on the 27th floor and had accidentally locked herself inside her bedroom, leaving her mobile phone in another room. With no way to call for help, she made the extremely risky decision to climb down the building using the external railings.
The incident has since gone viral on social media, highlighting both the dangers of such actions and the importance of emergency preparedness for elderly individuals living alone.
