US and Iranian Delegation Arrives in Pakistan
The Iranian delegation, headed by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has also reached Islamabad to participate in the talks. The US delegation includes prominent figures such as Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
Upon arrival, Vice President Vance was warmly received by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
Speaking ahead of the negotiations, Vance expressed cautious optimism, stating that the United States is committed to constructive dialogue. He emphasized that if Iran engages sincerely, the US is ready for open and positive discussions, but warned that any attempts at manipulation would be met firmly.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that a strong diplomatic team has been sent to Islamabad to engage with Iranian officials. The talks are expected to begin shortly and could play a pivotal role in shaping regional stability.
Pakistan’s role as host highlights its growing importance in international diplomacy, as both sides move away from confrontation toward negotiation.
