Karachi Gas Crisis Deepens
According to reports, gas supply has been disrupted in several areas of the city, forcing families to cope without a basic necessity. Many residents complain that their kitchen stoves remain unused even after paying hefty gas bills, causing significant hardship—especially for women responsible for cooking.
The worsening situation in Pakistan’s largest industrial and economic hub has pushed citizens toward expensive alternatives. Middle- and lower-income households are now increasingly relying on costly LPG cylinders or purchasing food from expensive hotels, putting additional pressure on already strained budgets.
Public frustration is growing, as citizens highlight the double burden of rising inflation and the lack of essential services. Many warn that the ongoing crisis could lead to protests if immediate action is not taken by the authorities.
