Karachi weather update
According to spokesperson Anjum Nazir, the city recently experienced extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 39.5°C on April 12, leaving citizens exhausted. However, weather conditions are now beginning to shift, with sea breezes returning to the coastal city.
The department predicts that for the next 8 to 10 days, there is no likelihood of severe heat, and temperatures are expected to remain around 35°C. A further drop of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius is anticipated by April 16, along with increased cloud cover, which will reduce the temperature.
Additionally, a new system of western winds is expected to enter Pakistan from April 16. This system may bring rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds to northern areas, while parts of Sindh could also experience slight weather changes.
The update comes as a welcome relief for Karachi residents who have been struggling under a recent heatwave.
