Second Round of US–Iran Talks Likely in Pakistan on Monday
The development marks a significant step forward in diplomatic efforts facilitated by Pakistan. However, the United States has not officially confirmed the schedule for the upcoming talks.
It is worth noting that the first round of negotiations was held in Islamabad. The US delegation was led by J. D. Vance and included Jared Kushner, son-in-law of Donald Trump, as well as special envoy Steve Witkoff.
On the Iranian side, the delegation was led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Following the initial round in Islamabad, both sides reportedly reached consensus on several issues and agreed to continue dialogue through another meeting.
If confirmed, the second round of talks in Pakistan could play a crucial role in easing tensions and advancing diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran.
