Iran Rules Out Second Round of Talks
The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, stated that Tehran currently has no plans to engage in a new round of negotiations with United States.
According to the spokesperson, there is no progress under consideration regarding direct talks between Tehran and Washington under the present circumstances. He further criticized the US, saying it has demonstrated a lack of seriousness in advancing diplomatic efforts.
Baghaei also alleged that the US violated a ceasefire understanding, adding that Iran has informed Pakistan, which was acting as a mediator, about these concerns.
He emphasized that significant differences remain between the two countries, making the prospects for immediate negotiations unlikely.
Political analysts note that rising tensions between Iran and the United States—driven by issues such as maritime blockades, regional conflicts, and Iran’s nuclear program—have further complicated the diplomatic process. A lack of trust and ongoing geopolitical disputes in the region have widened the gap between the two sides.
Experts warn that unless tensions ease, the chances of resuming negotiations in the near future remain slim, potentially impacting regional stability and peace.
